Job summary

Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll for all employees in the United States. You will handle multi-state payroll, verify timekeeping, deductions, and maintain confidential employee records in strict accordance with regulations.

The role requires 2–4 years of payroll experience, proficiency with ADP/Paycom/Paylocity, and solid Excel skills. A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state or mid-size organization.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
• Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.
• Verify timekeeping records, deductions, and adjustments before each payroll cycle.
• Maintain employee payroll records, tax information, and benefit deductions.
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies or errors promptly.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, garnishments, and other deductions in compliance with regulations.
• Generate payroll-related reports for management and accounting departments.
• Assist with audits, year-end reporting, and W-2 processing.
• Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and system updates.
