Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute in San Diego, CA is seeking a Payroll Specialist responsible for accurate entry of payroll data across multi-state and multiple payrolls and timely processing. The role provides payroll information, reports and support to ancillary departments.

You will manage workflows, handle garnishments, review exemptions and insurance, process paychecks or direct deposits, prepare earnings and tax reports, and ensure data privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with payroll processes and multi-state payrolls preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor garnishment orders and other payroll issues.
• Update payroll records with exemptions, insurance, direct deposit, job titles and department/division transfers.
• Pay employees via paycheck or direct deposit.
• Prepare earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and nontaxable wages reports.
• Audit and balance payroll before transmission to vendor.
• Maintain data privacy and employee confidentiality.
