Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple corps and grant-funded operations. You will work closely with Human Resources and Finance to ensure proper employee setup, earnings allocations, and funding compliance.

Responsibilities include bi-weekly payroll processing, timesheet audits, data maintenance, and reconciling payroll with the general ledger.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all divisional employees across multiple programs.
• Audit timesheets, earnings codes, and pay adjustments for accuracy.
• Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, and data updates.
• Maintain payroll records including deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
• Ensure proper allocation of payroll expenses to funding sources.
• Reconcile payroll reports with the general ledger.
