The Atlantic Group has partnered with a large facilities management firm based in Long Island City, NY. They have an immediate need for a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This position is a full-time contract role with the potential to become permanent based on performance.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support weekly payroll processing for 3,000+ employees. Responsibilities include maintaining payroll records, handling changes, wage garnishments, and payroll

Qualificações

• 2–5 years of payroll or HR experience.
• Workday experience and Excel skills required.
• Knowledge of wage garnishments and applicable payroll regulations.
• Strong data entry, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with weekly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee payroll records in the HRIS system.
• Process and audit new hires, terminations, salary changes, deductions, and other employee status updates.
• Manage wage garnishments, child support orders, and levies in compliance with regulations.
• Prepare Excel spreadsheets, payroll reports, and audit documentation.
• Respond to employee and vendor inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and pay statements.
• Process direct deposits and employment, unemployment, and mortgage verification requests.
• Assist with payroll audits, special projects, and compliance requirements.
