Job summary

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Administrative Services, is seeking a Human Resource Technician 3 (Payroll) located in Juneau or Anchorage. You will direct and perform payroll duties, resolve complex payroll, leave and compensation issues, and assist with training for the Payroll Team.

You’ll join a collaborative HR team that supports Alaska’s workforce, while navigating regulations and ensuring accurate, timely pay.

Qualifications

• One year of journey technical level HR experience.
• Experience with payroll, leave and compensation issues.
• Ability to guide Payroll Team and admin staff in policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and perform payroll duties and resolve complex issues.
• Provide guidance to the Payroll Team and admin staff.
• Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
