Job summary

Asure Software in High Point, NC is seeking a Payroll Specialist II to manage payroll for small business clients on-site. You will establish and maintain employee payroll records and deliver accurate payroll processing with timely reporting.

The role requires 3–5+ years in automated payroll systems, strong MS Word/Excel/Outlook skills, and experience with SaaS payroll platforms. On-site position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years automated payroll systems experience or equivalent accounting experience.
• Previous payroll experience in a client facing environment.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines or unusual or critical situations.
• Professional presentation of written information, that is clear and effective for success with clients.
• Direct experience in a variety of SaaS payroll systems, and your ability to learn new ones.
• Background of in-house payroll processing experience in a small to mid-sized business is highly preferred but not required.

• Calculate paychecks using tax tables.
• Inspect automated system outputs such as registers and standard reports.
• Determining and correct out-of-balance conditions.
• Check and audit timekeeping records for standard compliance.
• Validate time and attendance records from TLM system with payroll.
• Enter in new hires into Payroll Central.
• Post changes in pay and tax status.
• Process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments.
• Prepare special reports for management.

How you will contribute

Our Payroll Specialist II works to serve our small business clients to manage their changing payroll needs. The face of payroll to a dedicated client base, you partner to deliver expert payroll processing and services. Responsible for establishing and maintaining employee payroll records, they own the activities necessary to provide dedicated quality processing services.

Compensation

The base hourly range for this position is up to $27.00, based on relevant experience, skills, and industry knowledge.
