Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Payroll Administrator to oversee full cycle payroll processing for a diverse nonprofit workforce in Denver. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness for salaried, hourly, and contract staff while maintaining sensitive data with integrity.

This role collaborates with HR and Accounting, handles HRIS tasks, benefits deductions, and payroll tax reporting. A hybrid schedule, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business administration, accounting, or HR or equivalent.
• Three years of full cycle payroll experience for non-exempt and exempt staff.
• Knowledge of Colorado payroll laws and payroll tax requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Verify timecards, earnings, and deductions; process bi-weekly and monthly payroll.
• Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data transfer from time-tracking to payroll systems.
• Generate payroll reports for audits and file payroll tax returns quarterly and annually.
• Provide payroll support to employees and coaching to managers on timecard submissions.
• Perform HRIS workflows, benefits deductions, and year-end payroll activities.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and post journal entries into the accounting system.
