Job summary

Connect Search LLC in Chicago is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for multiple locations on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). You will ensure timely biweekly or weekly payroll, verify hours, deductions, and bonuses, and maintain accurate records.

The role requires coordinating with HR and Finance, resolving pay discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations.

Qualifications

• Payroll processing for biweekly or weekly cycles.
• Review payroll data including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, commissions, and other payroll adjustments.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure changes to compensation, tax withholdings, direct deposits, and deductions are processed correctly.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and issues related to pay, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping.
• Coordinate with Human Resources, Finance, managers, and other internal teams to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Ensure payroll transactions comply with applicable federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations.

Pay: $30–34 an hour (based on experience)
Contract Type: Contract-to-Hire
