Job summary

Hamilton Plumbing Heating A/C Rooter is seeking a Payroll Specialist to coordinate payroll for corporate and field employees, maintain PTO records and support complex payroll processes. The role emphasizes hands-on payroll administration and collaboration with HR and leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in payroll, strong Excel/Power Query skills, and experience handling garnishments, payroll discrepancies, and onboarding tasks.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in payroll administration.
• Background as Payroll Administrator, Payroll Coordinator or related payroll role encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Query preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll for corporate and field employees; resolve payroll and accounting issues.
• Maintain PTO records and adjust accordingly.
• Create and distribute monthly payroll calendar and weekly reports to local leadership.
• Maintain electronic file folders of payroll check registers, commissions and timesheets.
• Research and resolve ACH returns/reversals and reconciliations.
• Process garnishments, liens, multi-site reporting, and wage verification.
• Assist with new hire onboarding and payroll-related onboarding tasks.
• Provide HR/Payroll support to field and corporate staff.
• Calculate commissions for payroll.
