Job summary

CFS in Morgantown, WV is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to own full-cycle payroll processing across two companies. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll reporting while supporting timekeeping and union administration.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with multi-company payroll in a manufacturing/industrial setting. Union payroll experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of payroll experience.
• Experience with full-cycle payroll processing for multiple companies.
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred; union payroll experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with timekeeping systems and MS Excel.
• ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for two companies, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Maintain employee payroll records and update for hires, terminations, deductions, and changes.
• Administer payroll deductions, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments; reconcile accounts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll taxes and reporting; prepare related documents.
• Prepare payroll reports and respond to payroll-related inquiries; support audits.
• Manage W-2 processing and regulatory reporting; monitor compliance with payroll requirements.
• Oversee timekeeping systems and union payroll administration; participate in process improvements.
