Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Payroll Accounting Technician, Outsourced Finance & Accounting, to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. You will handle end-to-end payroll activities, ensure data integrity, and maintain strong controls while delivering a positive client experience.

Responsibilities include collecting and entering payroll data, updating records, meeting deadlines, coordinating with client staff, and communicating significant issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–3 years payroll experience preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience required.
• Experience with tip reporting, multi-state payrolls, IRS letter responses, and garnishment calculations preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Collects, compiles, and enters payroll data using appropriate software.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes including deductions, garnishments, and salary increases.
• Processes payroll by established deadlines.
• Interacts with client staff to gain information, documents, and data necessary to complete tasks.
• Communicates significant client issues to supervisor.
