Horwitz is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team, delivering accurate weekly payroll for 500+ field and office employees. You will verify hours, apply deductions for union and non-union staff, and maintain payroll records with strict confidentiality.

Collaborating with HR for onboarding, you will file federal/state payroll taxes weekly and manage verifications and unemployment claim responses. Growth opportunities and mentorship are emphasized within Horwitz.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with confidentiality.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes and wage/tax compliance requirements.
• 1–3 years of payroll experience preferred; construction/union payroll exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for 500+ employees (field and office).
• Update and maintain payroll records including taxes and direct deposit details.
• Reconcile timecard discrepancies and file payroll reports.
• Prepare and file federal and state payroll taxes weekly.
