Job summary

SMS group Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks a Corporate Payroll Specialist to own bi-weekly payroll processing and ADP Workforce Now optimization. You will act as SME for HCM data, system configuration, and reporting while managing self-service for employees and managers.

You’ll coordinate with ADP representatives, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, support plant HR on benefits and payroll functions, and help with year-end processes and benefit enrollments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3–5 years in HRIS/payroll roles.
• At least four years’ experience with payroll software and processing.
• ADP Workforce Now: minimum 3 years configuration and payroll processing.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong computer/database skills.
• Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance.
• Proven ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Own bi-weekly payroll processing and system optimization using ADP Workforce Now.
• Coordinate and process company-wide payroll while adhering to local, state, and federal laws.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for HCM data, system configuration, and reporting.
• Manage employee and manager self-service features.
• Provide support to plant HR personnel on benefits/payroll functions.
