Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance for US payroll.

The role requires expertise with ADP GlobalView and Workday integration, processing weekly and semi-monthly cycles, and handling off-cycle payments as needed.

You will collaborate with HR and Finance, review timesheets, perform wage calculations, and support year-end reporting and W-2 processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of solid payroll processing experience.
• CPP designation preferred but not required; strong knowledge of US payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Execution: Weekly and Semi-Monthly payrolls, including off-cycles.
• System Integration: Manage Workday–ADP GlobalView integration and data flow.
• Leadership Collaboration: Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate payroll data.
• Vendor Management: Oversee ADP performance and collaborate on pre-payroll improvements.
• Data Integrity: Maintain employee payroll records for changes, terminations, promotions.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws; conduct audits.
• Involuntary Deductions: Review garnishments and related deductions.
• Calculations: Verify prorations and retro pay calculations.
• Reporting: Prepare payroll reports; assist with tax filings and W-2 processing.
• Service Excellence: Respond to employee pay/tax inquiries; meet SLAs.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process simplification and automation.
