Job summary

Roesseljoy is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations for about 1,000 U.S. employees. You will manage semi-monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now and assist with Workday HCM transition, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication as they collaborate across departments and respond to employee inquiries in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience using ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is required.
• Experience with Workday HCM is a plus.
• Solid understanding of payroll laws, regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Strong Excel skills for payroll calculations, reporting, and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and respond to employee inquiries.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving payroll processes.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
• Experience in a professional services environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll for assigned employee groups using ADP Workforce Now.
• Ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support payroll tax filings, year-end processing, W-2 preparation, and internal audits.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll data, including salary adjustments, benefits, deductions, and personal information.
• Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and data verification to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of payroll standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support colleagues with payroll policies, procedures, and system-related questions.
• Prepare and maintain payroll documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist with the implementation of Workday HCM and other payroll process improvements.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll and employee information.
