• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience required; California payroll experience strongly preferred.

• Process biweekly payroll for ~225 employees across multiple departments.
• Review timecards for completeness and accuracy prior to payroll processing.
• Identify missing punches and discrepancies; follow up with managers before payroll finalization.
• Perform pre-payroll audits to catch errors.
• Review earnings including overtime, shift differentials, meal premiums, bonuses, and retroactive pay.
• Handle payroll deductions, benefits deductions, and garnishments with accuracy.
• Ensure final wage calculations and timely final pay for separating employees per CA requirements.
• Maintain payroll records and respond to payroll questions from employees.
• Escalate significant discrepancies to HR leadership.
