Job summary

Centex Business Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist to perform end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients from our on-site office in Waco, Texas. You will collect and verify time data, enter payroll information, and run payroll timely and accurately while handling payroll taxes and garnishments in compliance with regulations.

You will collaborate with bookkeeping and billing teams to ensure data consistency, respond to inquiries, reconcile reports, and identify process improvements

Qualifications

• Experience with end-to-end payroll cycles.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Experience with payroll services systems and reporting.
• Ability to manage garnishments accurately.

Role Description The Payroll Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Waco, TX. This position is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting and verifying time and attendance data, entering payroll information, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs. The role includes administering payroll taxes, managing garnishments, and coordinating payroll services for multiple clients while adhering to regulatory and company policies. The Payroll Specialist will respond to employee and client inquiries, reconcile payroll reports, maintain detailed records, and collaborate with the bookkeeping and billing teams to ensure data consistency. The role also involves identifying process improvements, supporting audits, and maintaining strict confidentiality of all payroll-related information.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration, with experience managing end-to-end payroll cycles.
• Knowledge of Payroll Taxes and related compliance requirements, including federal, state, and local regulations.
• Experience with Payroll Services, including system use, reporting, and coordination with finance or HR teams.
• Ability to manage Garnishments accurately, ensuring proper calculations and legal compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Prior experience in payroll or accounting; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
