A leading company in healthcare services is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage employee payroll processes and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in HR or a related field, with fluency in Czech and strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires collaboration with external authorities and handling sensitive employee information with confidentiality.
Your Responsibilities:
Accurately enter initial employee data into the payroll system
Oversee the timely collection and submission of required employee documents (e.g. credit slips, tax declarations, certificates) for payroll processing
Handle employee registration and deregistration with social security and health insurance providers
Upon employment termination, prepare and issue necessary documentation such as credit certificates, income tax statements, and employment confirmations
Respond to employee requests by issuing certificates required by social institutions (e.g. parental benefit applications) and financial institutions (e.g. income confirmations)
Process payroll-related documents, including travel orders, sick leave notes, and vacation records
Ensure timely and accurate payroll payments, including preparing bank transfer imports
Submit monthly health and social security reports following payroll runs
Maintain strict confidentiality and secure handling of all personal and sensitive data, sharing payroll details only with authorized personnel
Collaborate with external authorities (Labour Office, health insurance providers, tax offices, etc.), including attending audits and inspections as required
Stay up to date with legal and regulatory changes impacting payroll processes and methodologies
Support cost tracking related to employee benefits, where applicable
Generate payroll reports for company leadership and statistical bodies (e.g. Czech Statistical Office, Trexima)
Calculate and prepare quarterly road tax advance payments and file the annual road tax return
Your Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Solid understanding of HR and payroll processes, practices, and compliance requirements
Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Self-motivated and adaptable to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Proactive team player with strong problem-solving capabilities
Fluency in Czech is required; proficiency in English is a strong advantage
