  • Banking & Disbursements: Initiate direct deposits, cut manual checks, and execute accurate withdrawals and transfers from the company bank account to fund payroll and associated liabilities.
  • Benefits Administration: Calculate, record, and submit timely retirement and benefits payments to John Hancock and other designated plan administrators.
  • Tax & Year‑End Reporting: Reconcile payroll data, manage Alabama and federal tax compliance, and accurately generate, file, and distribute W‑2 forms annually.

  • System Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Dayforce or Ceridian modules and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Direct experience coordinating bank transactions, wire transfers, and reconciling accounts.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of Alabama employment laws, FLSA standards, tax regulations, and processing wage garnishments.
  • Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking for auditing, high ethical standards regarding confidential information, and excellent communication skills.
  • Location: Fully on‑site at our office in Alabama.
