Job summary

G&C Auto Body in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an onsite Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing and related tasks within a dedicated team. The role requires handling high-volume payroll with accuracy and timeliness in a managerial environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of payroll experience, familiarity with Paylocity, and strong communication and organizational skills to support monthly and periodic payroll cycles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of high-volume payroll experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with complex payroll, taxes, and deductions.
• Degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• CPP or PHR certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and entering timesheet data and payroll information.
• Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
• Preparing and processing paychecks
• Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
• Preparing and distributing wage related statements.
• Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
• Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.
• Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.

We are looking for an experienced payroll specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialistposition:

• Collecting and entering timesheet data and payroll information.
• Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
• Preparing and processing paychecks
• Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
• Preparing and distributing wage related statements.
• Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
• Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.
• Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.

Requirements of the Payroll Specialist position:

• Experience utilizing Paylocity highly preferred.
• A degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in high volume payroll, 5 years preferred.
• Experience handling complex payroll
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
• Experience working with accounting and payroll software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• High numerical aptitude.
• Detail-oriented.
• CPP and or PHR certifications preferred
