Orionplacement is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Rockville, MD to own end-to-end payroll for multiple clients and ensure accurate, timely processing. You will collect and verify time data, calculate wages and deductions, and handle payroll tax requirements with precision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• End-to-end payroll experience including wages, deductions, payroll taxes, and payroll administration.
• Experience handling garnishments and payroll-related deductions.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients.
• Collect, review, and verify employee time, attendance, and payroll information.
• Calculate wages, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments.
• Process and support federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee and payroll records within payroll systems.
• Prepare payroll reports and coordinate with accounting staff on payroll reconciliations.
• Respond professionally to client and employee payroll questions.
• Maintain organized, secure payroll documentation and confidential employee information.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
