Job summary

DeSilva Gates Construction in Dublin, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support daily payroll operations for both union and non-union staff. You will ensure accurate, timely processing and address payroll inquiries while maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of payroll experience, comfort with CMiC, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience.
• Experience with construction industry payroll is a plus.
• CMiC knowledge preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new programs quickly.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly union and non-union payroll using CMiC.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Dublin. In this role, you will support daily payroll operations and help ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for union and non-union employees. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive professional who manages competing priorities effectively and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Process weekly union and non-union payroll using CMiC.

• Collect timesheets and all necessary paperwork to process timely payroll.
• Review and verify timesheets with employees and management personnel.
• Gather and compile data for union reports as well as monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports.
• Process garnishments and new hire paperwork including I-9s, W-4s, etc.
• Assist employees with payroll related questions and solve discrepancies when needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience.
• Experience with construction industry payroll processing a plus. Union and non-union experieince is preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of CMiC preferred but not required.
• Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office. Able to learn new programs quickly.

Additional Requirements

Total compensation package includes the following:

• Pay (base salary) from $68,000/year (depending on qualifications)
