Job summary

DeSilva Gates Construction in Fresno, CA is seeking a Project Manager to lead major civil infrastructure projects from concept to completion. You will drive strategy, oversee schedules, manage costs, and build strong field teams while maintaining safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of civil construction experience, reads plans, excels in communication, and can coordinate with clients and subcontractors. We offer a comprehensive compensation package and opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience managing civil engineering projects and jobsite safety.
• Able to read and understand Plans and Specifications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Plan Grid and scheduling software. Ability to learn new programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with internal and external personnel of all levels. Capable of negotiating with clients.
• Required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Estimate resources needed to complete projects.
• Oversee CPM, 3 Week, and 9 Day schedules.
• Pre-costing activities of work.
• Manage the cost report, AR and AP aspect of assigned projects.
• Manage one or more direct reports.
• Conduct site safety surveys to evaluate safety program implementation.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance to ensure Cal-OSHA compliance.
• Implement and enforce company and client safety policies.
• Other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.

Reporting to a Construction Manager, the responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Project Planning and Execution

Total compensation package includes the following:

• Pay (base salary) from $130,000/year (depending on qualifications)
