Job summary

Living Resources Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for staff. You will collaborate with the Payroll team to issue paychecks, manage direct deposits, and oversee deductions while maintaining confidentiality.

The role focuses on processing payroll for our self-direction group, ensuring all employee data is current and compliant with internal policies.

Qualifications

• Must have payroll experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
• Strong math and data-entry skills with accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to employee questions and help navigate payroll data in Paylocity.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
• Update payroll records with exemptions, insurance, and other deductions.
• Review HR actions and process terminations.
• Prepare reports summarizing earnings, taxes and deductions.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Payroll Specialist to join our amazing team! In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You'll work closely with the Payroll team to issue and distribute paychecks, manage direct deposits and payroll deductions, and generate essential reports.

You'll be a go-to person for employee paycheck inquiries - providing clear, friendly, and respectful support every step of the way. Collaboration is key, and you'll partner with other departments to make sure we have all payroll data on time.

Additionally, you'll take the lead in processing payroll for our self-direction group, ensuring that every detail of employee data is accurate and up to date.

• Responds to employee questions and help them in navigating their data in Paylocity.
• Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and other deductions.
• Reviews HR Actions and process terminations.
• Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
• Assures that data is accurately recorded in order to correctly determine employer's social security, unemployment and worker's compensation liability.
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Ensures proper payroll operation by following policies and procedures; reporting a need for change, if observed.
• Maintains employee confidence and keep information confidential.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelors preferred.
• A minimum of one year of payroll or related experience

• Solid verbal communication skills

Salary Description

$26.10/hour
