Job summary

Living Resources is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work with the payroll team to issue paychecks, manage direct deposits and deductions, and generate essential reports.

You’ll respond to employee inquiries, maintain payroll data, and lead payroll for the self-direction group, while collaborating with other departments. The role requires at least one year of payroll experience, proficiency with Paylocity, and strong

Responsibilities

• Respond to employee questions and help navigate data in Paylocity.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
• Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and other deductions.
• Review HR actions and process terminations.
• Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
• Ensure data is accurately recorded to determine employer liabilities.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies and procedures.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Payroll Specialist to join our amazing team! In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with the Payroll team to issue and distribute paychecks, manage direct deposits and payroll deductions, and generate essential reports.

You’ll be a go-to person for employee paycheck inquiries—providing clear, friendly, and respectful support every step of the way. Collaboration is key, and you’ll partner with other departments to make sure we have all payroll data on time.

Additionally, you’ll take the lead in processing payroll for our self-direction group, ensuring that every detail of employee data is accurate and up to date.

• Assures that data is accurately recorded in order to correctly determine employer’s social security, unemployment and workers’ compensation liability.
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Ensures proper payroll operation by following policies and procedures; reporting a need for change, if observed.
• Maintains employee confidence and keep information confidential.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelors preferred.
• A minimum of one year of payroll or related experience
