TalentBridge is seeking an HR Generalist with hands-on payroll experience to support payroll, benefits, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle.

The role emphasizes owning the end-to-end payroll process in Paylocity, while also enhancing HR processes, HRIS data, onboarding, and policy guidance for managers and staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience with hands-on payroll processing.
  • Demonstrated experience processing payroll from start to finish, including reviewing and auditing payroll data.
  • Experience with Paylocity or a comparable payroll/HRIS platform.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, state requirements).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with handling confidential matters.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Own and process bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity accurately and on time.
  • Audit payroll data, reconcile discrepancies, and respond to payroll questions.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure wage-hour compliance.
  • Partner with internal teams and payroll providers to resolve issues.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employee questions related to payroll and benefits.
  • Maintain employee records in the HRIS and prepare HR reports for leadership.
  • Provide guidance on workplace policies and HR best practices.
  • Support employee relations investigations with confidentiality.
  • Manage onboarding from offer acceptance through first days.
  • Lead new hire orientation and introduce policies and culture.
  • Coordinate benefits open enrollment and carrier communications.
  • Develop and communicate benefits information and changes.
  • Support HRIS administration and data reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes.
  • Develop and deliver training on HR topics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR initiatives.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused HR Generalist with hands-on payroll experience to serve as a key resource for employees and managers across payroll, benefits, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations. This role will own the end-to-end payroll process through Paylocity while supporting the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and orientation through employee relations and benefits administration.

The ideal candidate has solid experience processing payroll, is approachable and trusted by employees and managers, and is highly organized and detail-oriented. This person should be comfortable balancing hands-on HR responsibilities with opportunities to improve processes, systems, and overall HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
  • Own and process bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity accurately and on time, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Audit payroll data, reconcile discrepancies, and respond to employee payroll questions.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements.
  • Partner with internal teams and payroll providers as needed to resolve payroll issues and ensure timely processing.
Employee Support & HR Administration
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, policies, and general HR matters.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files within the HRIS.
  • Prepare HR reports and data for leadership as needed.
Employee Relations
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, policies, and HR best practices.
  • Support employee relations investigations, documentation, and resolution in a fair, consistent, and confidential manner.
Onboarding & Orientation
  • Manage the onboarding process from offer acceptance through the new hire's first days of employment.
  • Lead new hire orientation and introduce employees to company policies, benefits systems, and culture.
Benefits Administration
  • Coordinate benefits administration, including open enrollment, new hire and life event enrollments, and carrier/vendor communications.
  • Assist employees with benefits questions and claims resolution.
  • Develop and communicate clear information regarding benefits offerings and changes.
HRIS & Process Improvement
  • Support HRIS administration and system-related projects, including data management, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve operational efficiency.
Training & Development
  • Develop and deliver training on HR topics, including new systems, benefits programs, and performance management.
  • Support managers throughout performance management processes and cycles.
Strategic Partnership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational needs and employee initiatives.
  • Participate in HR planning and contribute to initiatives aligned with broader business objectives.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience with hands-on payroll processing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience processing payroll from start to finish, including reviewing and auditing payroll data and resolving discrepancies.
  • Experience with Paylocity or a comparable payroll/HRIS platform.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and applicable state requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
