  • Serves as backup for other payroll sections providing support for workers’ compensation, mid-and end of month payroll reports and year-end reports.

Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.*** Assist departments and employees with time tracking questions as needed.* Review time tracking county-wide to ensure accuracy of data entered.* Reconciles monthly benefit billings and HR of changes to employee coverages as needed.* Reconciles law enforcement entity billings and submits for monthly or quarterly reimbursement.* Serves as backup for other payroll sections providing support for workers compensation, mid-and end of month payroll reports and year-end reports.* Assists employees with payroll questions and concerns and aids with any necessary changes that affects pay.* Maintains payroll documents filed and archived according to state retention codes.* Performs related work as required.**Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:**Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by two (2) years of payroll experience. Workday knowledge/experience preferred: or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel is required.**Physical Demands:*** Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.**Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment):*** None.**Special Certifications and Licenses:*** Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.* Must be able to read, write and speak the English Language.**Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance**Bell County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
