Seeking an experienced Payroll Processor/Bookkeeper to join an accounting firm. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with clients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering accurate payroll and bookkeeping services.

Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time for multiple client accounts.
- Review employee hours, earnings, deductions, commissions, bonuses, and benefits.
- Process payroll tax payments and assist with payroll tax filings.
- Manage garnishments, child support orders, wage attachments, and other payroll deductions.
- Reconcile payroll, bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Generate financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
- Maintain accurate payroll and financial records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll and bookkeeping clients.
- Respond promptly to client questions and provide payroll and accounting support.
- Assist with payroll setup, onboarding, and ongoing client account maintenance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing and/or bookkeeping experience.
- Experience working in a payroll service bureau, accounting firm, or other multi-client environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, payroll taxes, and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Experience with AccountantsWorld/Payroll Relief is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive client relationships.
- Coachable, receptive to feedback, and able to follow established processes and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information.
