Job summary

Medasource is seeking a Payroll Processor II for a 6-month contract in a hybrid role based in Sacramento, CA. The position requires end-to-end payroll processing, California payroll knowledge, and the ability to handle high-volume payroll with tight deadlines.

Ideal candidates will have Workday Payroll and Kronos experience, payroll for large employee populations, and familiarity with union payroll and collective bargaining requirements. Equipment is provided and the hybrid schedule applies.

• Research, reconcile, and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation

• Healthcare payroll experience (preferred)
• LotusOne or comparable workforce management experience
• Experience supporting complex enterprise payroll operations
• Availability for Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
• Hybrid schedule in Sacramento, equipment provided by client

Job Title: Payroll Processor II

Location: Hybrid - Sacramento, California

Contract Length: 6 months with extension

Pay: $35/hr for having all required and preferred qualifications on their resume

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Equipment: Sutter provides all required equipment

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent, end-to-end payroll processing experience
• Experience processing payroll for organizations with 20,000 or more employees
• Experience processing California payroll
• Knowledge of applicable California payroll requirements
• Experience processing California final termination pay within required timelines
• Experience using Workday Payroll
• Experience using Kronos
• Experience processing union payroll
• Ability to apply collective bargaining agreement requirements
• Experience processing high-volume payroll accurately while meeting strict deadlines
• Ability to research, reconcile, and resolve:
  • Payroll discrepancies
  • Employee pay issues
  • Payroll transaction errors
• Ability to work onsite and remotely according to a hybrid schedule in Sacramento, CA
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare payroll experience
• Experience supporting large, complex enterprise payroll operations
• Experience with payroll compliance, audits, and payroll controls
• Familiarity with LotusOne or a similar workforce management system
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience partnering with payroll leadership and internal stakeholders
