Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required with 3+ years in payroll, accounting, or employee administration.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; able to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and HRIS/timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for faculty, staff, and student employees; review timekeeping, attendance, leave, overtime, and deductions.
• Reconcile payroll data; support year-end processes including W-2 preparation and distribution.
• Handle onboarding, I-9 verification, E-Verify, and background checks; manage employee records.
• Track faculty/adjunct compensation and prepare contracts/payments; coordinate census-related payroll.
• Maintain confidential personnel files and ensure data integrity across payroll and benefits systems.
• Support benefits enrollment and changes; respond to routine questions about deductions and statements.
• Prepare routine payroll/employee data reports for the Office of People, Success & Opportunity.
