Job summary

Corbion is seeking a Payroll Manager based at our Lenexa, KS headquarters to lead end-to-end payroll operations for North America, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance across hourly manufacturing and salaried staff.

This hands-on leadership role combines daily payroll processing with strategic oversight, process improvement, and people development, partnering with HR, Benefits, Finance, and business leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Admin or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive payroll experience.
• Minimum 2 years of direct people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting multi-state payroll operations in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
• Experience with integrated HCM/payroll systems such as UKG, ADP, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payrolls for employees across multiple US states and Canada, including regular earnings, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses and commissions.
• Coach and develop the Senior Payroll Specialist while remaining hands-on in payroll processing.
• Review payroll data, audits, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Oversee payroll tax reporting, filings, reconciliations, and year-end activities.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance and business leaders on payroll initiatives and audits.
