Job summary

Swoon is seeking a Payroll Operations Specialist/Analyst to manage high-velocity payroll tasks onsite in Phoenix. The role requires careful data handling, strict policy adherence, and SOX control compliance to ensure accurate payments.

The ideal candidate will bring multi-state payroll experience, familiarity with SAP, and a diligent approach to audits, records retention, and responding to employee inquiries. Onsite work five days weekly is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent training/experience.
• 3 years of working in a high volume, multi-state payroll department and/or payroll, accounting or human resource experience.
• Experience with payroll systems (SAP preferred)

Responsibilities

• Processes payroll data accurately by the required deadline
• Consistently applies company policy and government regulations to all processing
• Maintains the security and confidentiality of all payroll related information
• Reviews audit reports for accuracy and requests corrections as necessary
• Researches team member inquiries and provides solutions as required in a timely manner
• Knowledgeable of labor agreements and applicable processing requirements to specific workforce groups, such as unions
• Organizes and maintains records utilizing special processing that reduces the occurrences of incorrect payments to employees
• Adheres to existing SOX processing maps and requirements
• Assists in special projects, system testing, and other duties as assigned
• Documents and updates procedures
• Analyzes business processes, making changes as necessary to increase efficiencies, adhering to existing SOX processing maps and requirements
• Analyze large amounts of data using Microsoft tools such as Excel/Macros
