Job summary

Swoon in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Payroll Operations Specialist/Analyst to support a high-volume payroll team within Finance. You will process payroll accurately and on time, review data and audit reports, resolve employee payroll issues, and assist with process improvements.

Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with union payroll. SAP experience is a plus.

Hiring: Specialist/Analyst, Payroll Operations

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Pay: $44/hr

Duration: 10/12/2026 – 12/31/2026, with possible extension

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Operations Specialist/Analyst to support a high-volume payroll team within Finance.

This person will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, reviewing payroll data and audit reports, resolving employee payroll issues, and supporting payroll process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, review, enter, edit, and verify payroll data
• Review payroll audit reports and identify discrepancies
• Research and resolve employee payroll questions
• Ensure payroll activities follow company policies, government regulations, labor agreements, and SOX requirements
• Maintain accurate payroll records and procedures
