Job summary

Cencora seeks a payroll processing professional to ensure timely and accurate payroll operations. You will validate HRIS data, process earnings and tax withholdings, and resolve payroll-related issues while maintaining robust records for audits.

The role requires strong communication, discretion with sensitive information, and collaboration across teams to support accurate payroll to GL reconciliation and year-end activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• Associate’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in payroll processing support and payroll administration, or related field.
• CPP holder or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency with payroll processing software, preferably Workday.
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and payroll-to-GL reconciliation.
• Proficiency in clear oral and written communication for inquiries and updates.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with customers/partners.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to implement and improve processes that support audits and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll processing for assigned pay groups by validating HRIS and timekeeping inputs.
• Apply standard pay rules and verify earnings and adjustments for accurate gross-to-net outcomes.
• Resolve payroll and payroll tax exceptions and coordinate corrections.
• Maintain payroll records, reporting, and control documentation for audits and period close.
• Assist with wage statement accuracy and year-end readiness activities.
