Armstrong Knight is recruiting a skilled Payroll specialist to join their Brentwood team. This hands-on role involves managing weekly contractor payments, processing monthly salaries, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and pension provisions.

You will take ownership of the payroll function, supervise a small team across the UK and abroad, coordinate client billing, and interface with HMRC. A background in recruitment payroll is highly valued.

• Experience in payroll management within a fast-paced industry.
• Knowledge of HMRC submissions and pension providers.
• Well organised with ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Payroll Manager in a fast-paced environment.
• Full control of payroll department, working with systems and regulations.
• Currently managing weekly payments for contractors via multi payment methods.
• Own client billing process and update invoice financing facility.
• Manage a team of 3 split between the UK and abroad.
• Manage submissions, payments and communications with HMRC and pensions provider.
• Process monthly salaries for internal staff.
• Report directly to Head of Accounts.
