Job summary

Bedrock Detroit is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee the administration, processing, and compliance of payroll operations. The role partners with People Strategy, Tax, and other teams to ensure accurate, timely payroll and data integrity.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a related field, 5+ years of payroll experience, and proficiency with payroll systems and Excel. On-site five days a week with possible Friday remote flexibility is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll and payroll tax compliance.
• Experience administering payroll systems and system upgrades.
• Experience managing payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all team members.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Manage payroll systems, data integrity, and audits.
• Prepare payroll reports and tax filings.
• Support system implementations and updates.
