Job summary

Suno is seeking a Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll processing and compliance for a fast-growing, public-equity company. You will partner with the People team and payroll providers to ensure accurate, on-time payroll while scaling processes and controls for a broader footprint.

Emphasis on responsible use of AI to improve efficiency without compromising accuracy. You will influence policy, implement scalable solutions, and lead a build-and-operate approach to establish a strong in-house

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of payroll experience with end-to-end ownership in a high-growth company.
• Discretion and ownership for highly confidential, time-sensitive matters.
• Deep knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance incl. taxes, wage-and-hour, year-end filings.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing across all pay cycles.
• Manage compliance across federal, state, and local requirements and year-end reporting.
• Partner with People team on onboarding, compensation changes, benefits and equity payroll.
• Manage third-party payroll providers and reconcile to GL.
• Build scalable payroll policies, controls, and audit-ready documentation.
• Introduce AI/automation to payroll with guardrails to improve speed and accuracy.
