Job summary

Coral Reef Partners is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our expanding solar construction business.

As a Payroll Manager, you will manage weekly payroll, review time records, wage determinations, and certified payroll reporting across multiple projects, collaborating with HR, Accounting, and Operations to maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage compliance, and certified payroll reporting.
• Strong knowledge of wage determinations, labor classifications, overtime requirements, and fringe benefit calculations.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and wage and hour laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process weekly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Review employee time records, approvals, wage calculations, overtime, travel time, per diem, bonuses, and other earnings.
• Administer federal Davis-Bacon and state prevailing wage payroll requirements for applicable construction projects.
• Review wage determinations, labor classifications, overtime calculations, and fringe benefit requirements.
• Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with federal, state, and project-specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation to support regulatory compliance and audits.
• Review and reconcile payroll reports, identify discrepancies, and process necessary corrections or adjustments.
• Coordinate with Human Resources on new hires, terminations, pay changes, direct deposits, tax withholding, and benefit deductions.
• Administer garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other payroll deductions.
• Coordinate with payroll providers on payroll tax filings, payments, and year-end reporting, including W-2 processing.
• Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve pay-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Partner with Accounting, HR, and Operations to improve payroll accuracy, processes, and overall efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws, company policies, and payroll regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
