Your role:
As a Payroll Manager at Warner Music Group, you'll be the rhythm keeper behind every paycheck, making sure our rockstars (aka employees) get paid accurately and on time. Collaboration is your jam—you’ll work closely with Finance, Compensation, People Technology, Benefits, and our People Partners to hit all the right chords. In short: you’ll keep the beat steady so the music (and business) never misses a note!
Here you’ll get to:
Lead all aspects of multi-state payrolls for 2000+ employees ensuring accuracy, compliance and outstanding service goals are consistently met.
Develop and supervise day-to-day work of payroll staff, including providing direction for tasks, coordinating priorities and resources, and providing mentorship on performance and development opportunities.
Review payroll journal entries, perform GL mapping, perform payroll related account analysis and reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
Be responsible for the efficiency and management of the Payroll Ticketing System.
Act as a trusted advisor and point of escalation for payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues with empathy and precision.
Identify and implement payroll process improvements and best practices, driving improved customer service levels and eliminating unnecessary payroll errors.
Reconcile errors and maintain payroll records. Audit payroll data changes bi- weekly to ensure validity and accuracy of approved transactions. Responsible for the data integrity of the system set up as it relates to payroll functionality.
Leads preparation of relevant reports, including bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end. (Gross payroll, Net payroll, paid leave accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, workers compensation, legal requests.)
Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll and tax legislation and implement required changes to maintain compliance.
Support external audit requests and other tasks as assigned.
About you:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, (sophisticated formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)
5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
You have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
You are passionate about projects like system implementations, compliance audits, or acquisition integrations
We’d love it if you also had:
Familiarity with platforms like Workday, SAP or One Source Virtual
Understand how payroll connects with People Partners or Finance systems to troubleshoot and develop process improvements.

Salary Range$95,000 - $105,000 AnnuallySalary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs.
