Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of payroll experience; healthcare or skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience with ADP-Work for Now payroll systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience with electronic timekeeping and biometric systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; payroll, accounting, or HR education/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day payroll operations and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Review employee time records for accuracy, including missed punches, overtime, and meal penalties.
  • Work closely with department heads to identify and resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and department heads regarding payroll and timekeeping matters.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and elevate complex issues when necessary.
  • Process manual and off-cycle payroll checks.
  • Enroll and maintain employees in the facility’s electronic timekeeping and biometric systems.
  • Monitor overtime and assist department leaders in reducing unnecessary overtime and timekeeping errors.
  • Ensure payroll records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
  • Train employees and department heads on payroll, timekeeping, and related procedures.
  • Implement and maintain payroll procedures and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee payroll and timekeeping issues.
  • Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and other payroll-related projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and personal information.
  • Stay informed of applicable payroll policies, regulations, and company procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and leadership regarding payroll-related questions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Payroll Manager

Pay Rate: $33.00–$35.00 per hour

Job Summary

Santa Anita Convalescent Hospital is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee the facility’s day-to-day payroll and timekeeping operations. The Payroll Manager will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while serving as the primary resource for payroll and timekeeping questions.

This position works closely with Human Resources, department heads, and facility leadership to resolve payroll issues, maintain accurate timekeeping records, monitor overtime and meal penalties, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable payroll requirements.
