Job summary

Remedy Staffing in Honolulu is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee all payroll operations for a growing organization. You will ensure timely, accurate processing across weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly cycles and serve as the payroll subject-matter expert.

You will collaborate with Human Resources and department leaders, handle payroll taxes, year-end activities, and seek opportunities to improve efficiency and introduce automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience.
• Strong payroll processing, taxes, compliance, and reporting knowledge.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll cycles.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
• Serve as the primary resource for payroll tax matters and collaborate with payroll providers and tax authorities as needed.
• Partner with Human Resources and department leaders to resolve payroll-related questions and issues.
• Process payroll adjustments, bonuses, retroactive pay, PTO payouts, and other payroll changes.
• Administer PTO and sick leave accruals.
• Reconcile retirement plan contributions and related payroll deductions.
• Assist with year-end audits, compliance initiatives, and special projects.
• Evaluate payroll processes and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and automation.
