Job summary

Harding, Shymanski & Co., P.S.C. is seeking a Payroll Lead for Louisville, KY. You will manage payroll processing, coordinate with HR and Finance, and ensure accurate records and compliance. The role supports multi-state payroll (IN/KY) and uses UKG and related payroll systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in payroll/benefits, strong tax knowledge, and a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance is preferred. On-site role with opportunities for professional growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll and benefits experience with emphasis on payroll tax knowledge.
• High school diploma/GED as minimum education.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with UKG is a plus.
• Multi-state payroll experience (Indiana and Kentucky) including local taxes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
• Review time records and resolve discrepancies before payroll deadlines.
• Maintain confidential payroll records for hires, changes, and deductions.
• Reconcile payroll reports with Finance and assist with payroll reporting.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll provider regarding filings and year-end reporting.
