Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Level 7 Payroll IT Analyst to analyze, enhance, deliver, and stabilize payroll technology solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

You will partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, compliance, and vendors to translate business needs into system requirements, lead solution design, coordinate testing and releases, and continuously improve payroll processes for accurate and timely pay outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting payroll systems or enterprise HR tech.
• Strong analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and releases.

Responsibilities

• Partner with payroll, HR, finance, and IT to gather requirements for payroll systems and reporting.
• Lead analysis for enhancements, regulatory changes, defects, and improvements.
• Translate business needs into functional specs, flows, user stories, and test plans.
• Support end-to-end delivery: design reviews, testing, release readiness, and validation.
• Ensure controls, security, and compliance in payroll solutions.
