Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Payroll Integration System Developer for an approximate 8-month contract in New York, NY, with hybrid work. The consultant will support HR and Payroll apps such as NYCAPS, RET-NYCAPS, PMS, and PPMS, analyzing migration procedures and drafting specs.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams, execute migrations, manage components like source code, load modules, and JCL, and maintain production procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related Technical/Business Discipline is required.
• Experience compiling, linking, and binding COBOL programs.
• Experience with Rational ClearQuest and ClearCase.
• Experience using TSO/ISPF and proficiency with JCL.
• Knowledge of DB2 and IMS DB/DC.
• Familiarity with MS-Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document mainframe and NYCAPS migration procedures.
• Author and review functional specifications with business owners and technical staff.
• Collaborate with technical job administrators and support personnel to research and resolve issues.
• Execute software migrations into all required environments following agency procedures, including planning, review, execution, and quality assurance.
• Manage the migration of components such as source code, object code, load modules, DBRMs, and copybooks.
• Perform migration steps according to established schedules and plans.
• Maintain production procedures for JCL setup and communicate with technical support.
• Support production migrations for changes to JCL and Procs.
