CFS is seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Specialist to join our Shelton, CT team. The role focuses on hands-on payroll processing (50 U.S.-based employees), benefits administration, onboarding, and HR processes. Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and strong attention to detail are required.

Ideal candidates have the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and quickly learn new systems and processes. Target compensation is 70k-85k, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on payroll processing experience required.
• ADP Workforce Now experience required.
• Previous benefits administration experience.
• Onboarding, offboarding, and general HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 50 U.S.-based employees.
• Gather and review payroll inputs, including commissions and employee changes.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule.
• Support benefits administration and 401(k) processes.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Prepare offer letters and new hire documentation.
• Coordinate background checks, I-9s, and E-Verify.
• Maintain employee files and HR documentation.
• Coordinate new hire orientations and onboarding logistics.
• Provide additional HR and payroll support as needed.
