Job summary

The State of New Hampshire's Department of Administrative Services, Division of Personnel, seeks a part-time HRSU Generalist to support daily HR functions, including timekeeping, payroll processing, and benefits administration, for HRSU-participating agencies.

Working under the HSRU Administrator, you will audit payroll, manage leave programs such as FMLA and Income Protection, and respond to employee inquiries while ensuring compliance with bargaining agreements.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Associate's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after high school.
  • License/Certification: Valid Driver's license.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience in payroll processing and/or leave management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares payroll for employees in HRSU-participating agencies, maintains time worked records, and processes fringe benefits payments; ensures accuracy of payroll manifests.
  • Calculates and processes termination/retirement payouts, part-time pay-ins, retroactive payments, and other employee-related financial transactions; audits related payments.
  • Assists employees with extended leaves (FMLA, military leave, leave of absence) and related programs; collaborates with third-party vendors to gather and verify information.
