State of New Hampshire, Department of Administrative Services, Division of Personnel, is seeking a part-time Human Resources Support Unit Generalist to manage payroll, timekeeping, and leave-related processes for HRSU‑participating agencies. The role involves auditing payroll, processing payouts, and supporting various benefit programs.

Requires an associate’s degree with 1 year of experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience; a valid driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Associate's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after high school.
  • License/Certification: Valid Driver’s license
  • Trainee Option: Equivalents may be considered for trainee status.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares payroll for employees in HRSU-participating agencies including maintenance of time worked records, supporting documentation, and fringe benefits payments.
  • Calculates and processes termination/retirement payouts, part-time pay-ins, retroactive payments, and other employee-related financial transactions.
  • Assists employees with extended leaves and related programs (MIL/ FMLA/ income protection).
  • Coordinates with agencies and internal divisions to research and resolve issues per bargaining agreements and laws.
  • Responds to employee inquiries and provides guidance on requirements and processes; prepares communications and updates.
