Position Summary
Complete Landsculpture of Texas is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Coordinator to process weekly, job-costed payroll and provide administrative support to Human Resources.
The ideal candidate has payroll experience, an understanding of job costing, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills. This position reports to the Senior Human Resources Manager and works closely with Accounting, managers, and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in Texas and Oklahoma.
- Review timecards for missing punches, approvals, overtime, pay rates, and discrepancies.
- Verify that labor hours are assigned to the correct jobs, crews, departments, and cost codes.
- Coordinate payroll corrections with managers and supervisors.
- Process new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments.
- Review payroll reports, reconcile labor allocations, and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain payroll records, tax forms, garnishments, direct deposits, and benefit deductions.
- Prepare payroll and job-cost reports for Human Resources, Accounting, and management.
- Respond to employee payroll questions and assist with year-end payroll activities.
- Support onboarding, Form I-9 completion, background checks, benefits enrollment, and offboarding.
- Maintain personnel files and employee information in payroll, benefits, and HR systems.
- Assist with recruiting, interview scheduling, employee communications, training, and company events.
- Maintain confidentiality and perform other payroll and HR duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Two to three years of payroll-processing experience required.
- Job-costed payroll experience strongly preferred.
- HR administrative experience preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, overtime, deductions, garnishments, and payroll reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and payroll or HR systems.
- QuickBooks Payroll experience preferred.
- Construction, landscaping, or field-service experience is a plus.
- Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle confidential information.
