Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Payroll Generalist to manage complex hotel payroll using Dayforce, including union payroll under CBAs. You will work to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with management on payroll-related issues.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to confidentiality, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment. Prior union payroll experience is preferred and familiarity with CBAs is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience with payroll software such as Dayforce.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
• Union payroll experience preferred, including familiarity with CBAs and reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full responsibility for Dayforce payroll processing ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Process complex union payrolls with adherence to CBAs and regulations.
• Handle bi-weekly payroll calculations for wages, overtime, tips, bonuses and deductions.
• Resolve payroll adjustments and time-sensitive matters with proper approvals.
• Verify wage calculations and payroll data before completion.
• Maintain accurate, confidential payroll records and data integrity.
• Assist in union payroll activities including setup, deductions and reporting.
• Perform payroll reporting, reconciliation and distribution of required reports.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Conduct internal audits and propose process improvements for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain documentation supporting payroll reconciliations and regulatory requirements.
• Train managers on timekeeping systems and associate enrollment in timeclocks.
• Participate in special payroll projects and other duties as assigned.
