Job summary

United Way Worldwide seeks a Sr. Accountant, Payroll and Finance Operations to manage payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role supports audits, tax processes, retirement plan compliance, insurance administration, and operational finance activities.

The position interacts with teams across the organization and requires strong numerical accuracy, confidentiality, and cross-functional collaboration. On-site work with occasional travel supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in accounting/finance/business administration.
• Minimum of five years of relevant accounting or financial experience preferred.
• Payroll processing and benefits administration experience preferred; Paycor experience highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for insurance-related matters, including renewals, invoices, claims, and annual questionnaire coordination.
• Coordinate financial audit and tax preparation activities, including Form 990 support and documentation submission.
• Lead 403(b) compliance and reporting, including coordination of the annual 403(b) audit.
• Coordinate biweekly payroll processing with HR and prepare payroll reports.
